Your World? Clean!
"Your World? Clean!" is a national initiative of PRAIS Foundation, in partnership with Bucharest School Inspectorate, the Ministry of Environment and National Environment Guard, that has as main objective the education of 4th grade school pupils regarding the importance of recyclable waste management and its selective gathering in order to be recycled. The program presents the following issues: the importance of waste management, the process of waste capitalization, the benefits of this capitalization, the different types of recyclable waste, useful advice for water and energy saving and how to plant trees in order to protect the environment.
The national initiative "Your World? Clean!" is part of LOHAS communication platform (Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability) launched by PRAIS in Romania, in May 2008, as an expression of PRAIS team's involvement in generating a different kind of progress in which the ethical values, sustainable development and environment protection are a priority.
The first edition of this initiative is implemented in 34 schools from District 3, Bucharest, for over 2,200 4th grade pupils.
