November 10th, 2009. The activity of young women researchers in Romania will be supported, starting this year, through annual private scholarships, along with the launch of the UNESCO L’Oréal programme “For women in science”.

In order to fulfill the mission of this programme, the Romanian National Commission for UNESCO and L’Oréal Romania signed a strategic partnership with the Romanian Academy and the National Authority for Scientific Research.

“We want this programme to become one of referece for the scientists in Romania and we submit to supporting the activity of women researchers, through annual scholarships, but to also encourage young Romanian women to follow their vocation”, declared Mr. Richard Matalon, Country Managing Director L’Oréal Romania.

PRAIS organized a press conference at the George Enescu Museum, with 38 press representatives present, and leading to 45 press materials published until the 23rd of November.
