On June 12th PRAIS organised with Wienerberger a press conference for the launching of the first e4 house construction in Romania. In response to the challenges of the future, Wienerberger has launched in 2012, in Austria, the e4 brick house - a current concept of residential construction that meets energy efficiency requirements for new buildings mandatory starting 2020. According to the Parliament Directive 31/2010, all new houses built since 2020 in the European Union must have an energy close to zero.

Construction works begin this month, the e4 house in Romania will be built in Corbeanca, Ilfov County. The beneficiaries of the house are a family with two children.

The project is actually an excellent case study for those interested to build a house in the near future. An energy efficient home with an affordable total cost can be achieved only through a rigorous design, using high quality building materials and careful supervision of works execution.
