EPHE - "EPODE for the Promotion of Health Equity"
Starting October 2012, PRAIS Foundation and „I’m living healthy, too! – SETS” national movement are part of EPHE project, together with six other European countries. The project will be implemented for 3 year in Romania, in Otopeni community, and aims at reducing health inequalities related to diet and physical inactivity.
EPHE is developed with the support of the Directorate General for Health & Consumers of the European Commission and the World Health Organization, Regional Office for Europe and also 3 private partners.
The EPHE project seeks to reduce and as may be necessary, to close the health gap between socioeconomic groups in 4 main areas:
1. Variety in fruits and vegetables consumption
2. Sedentary lifestyle
3. Water consumption
4. Sleep in terms of quality and duration
During the 3 implementation years, all communities will conduct evaluation campaigns and will implement interventions enhancing the population of all socioeconomic statuses around the targeting themes.
PRAIS Foundation is representing Romania within the project, being also the coordinator of the EPHE Operational Board of the project, working closely with partners from France, Belgium, The Netherlands, Bulgaria, Portugal, Greece and also with all private partners involved.
PRAIS will promote in Romania the strategy to encourage the balanced nutrition, water consumption and proper sleep for the community involved in the project.
